I'm sure this has been beaten to death in prior posts but who can offer up wisdom on fitting lenses in those blasted rubber grommets?

seriously, if I recall, I used a dental tool and a small screwdriver - remember though that the rubber tears easily
 
Dish soap and a Harbor Freight 90 degree pick works. The ones with the Orange handle. Watch the point as you ease it under the rim.
