I have a broken side/flasher glass at the front. (I ranted about teenagers in a separate post)
The rubber moulding that this glass fits into seems to only just hold onto the metal ring that holds the glass, making it an easy nudge. Is there some way it can be wrongly installed, making it easier to dislodge? I though I had the metal ring correctly seated in the rubber lip all the way round.
If I were to replace the rubber part as well as the glass, would I get a better (stronger) fit from a new one, or are the "new" ones of poor quality like so much else? I guess I might as well, since the bulb is broken as well, and the fitting is somewhat corroded inside.
