TR2/3/3A Side Curtain Frames

I don't have the luxury of having the side curtains that came with my car so I am having to try to fit the frames I have to the car. Then I will get them rebuilt. This is not an easy task since the metal is fairly stiff and doesn't want to bend; especially the legs which attach to the door. Does anyone have any suggestions how to best go about fitting the side curtain frames. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried adjusting the door brackets? They are a bit adjustable. Picture might help to show where the problems are.
Regards, Bob

No pictures at present. Just finished fitting a tonneau cover and am letting it sit and stretch out a little before I remove it. Attempted adjusting side curtain frames some time ago. Was doing that while attaching the door brackets. As I remember, the front of the frames were too far inboard. In other words they were hitting the side of the car and seemed to need to be bent out some. I'll attempt pictures in a day or two.
