Passed away today at age 91. What memories his name brings back, including Sid with Imogene Coca on "Your Show of Shows". Wow.

WHAT a talent!

A great one gone :sorrow:

YEP !: He was great liked his humor very much.

Sorry some of you young guys missed him :friendly_wink:

His schtik was clever. Grew up watching his shows.

One of my favorite bits. This is from Your Show of Shows in 1954, with most of the American TV audience remembering the "German military" all too well.

The general's aide is Howard (Howie) Morris, later on Twilight Zone and Andy Griffith.

That is *classic* 1950s TV comedy.

Funny! THAT skit was what I thought of first, Tom.

I'll expect similar treatment when I come to visit, Doc.

Get your brass polish ready!

Sadly, my Brasso supply is a dried lump. Gave up long ago.

But if Der Benz needs attention, we're prepared.

Der Benz always needs attention! But fortunately seems to be holding its own mechanically anyway. More than I can say for me!

Next "old car" trip will be down the east coast. so ...

You'll have a good support network when you hit mid-state here.

You will, of course, have the Mercedes Professor on call?
