MGB Sick 1967 MGB Engine

My engine needs replacing and I have a 1978 donor car. The problem I see is the engine mounts are very different, can I still make the swap? Any input will be appreciated.

The short answer is yes, but with some caveats.

You'll need to swap the front plate (not sure its technical name) from your existing engine over to the '78 donor -- this will give you the correct setup for the engine mounts. Not sure what else needs to be swapped over, someone should be along her shortly who can elaborate.
