Good day all.
I'm installing the inside shut face finisher on my bj8.
Does this piece center end to end in the door opening, or does it butt up to the panel that covers the top spring.

Attached here is a photo of it butting up to the panel.
Next post shows it centered.

Would someone post a photo of the screws that I should use, and the size. I believe they are not the same screws I used for the outside two pieces.

In case anyone picks up on that one screw head on top, yes it is the wrong screw. I needed a longer screw, so used that one. Which I hope will get covered by the Bristleflex.

Hi keoke. I can steel from Paul to pay Peter.
I can slid it over to meet the panel and not go as far in the footwell.
If I center it, it will not butt up to the panel.
Question is, should it butt up against it?

Well now that I know where to screw the finisher in....

What size screw?
Could someone post a photo of what the screw, screw head looks like.

Don't have access to my digital camera right now, but the screws on mine are 1/2 inch long, oval phillips head, with a fine tread.
 
PO used different screws than were used for the rest of the aluminum finisher plates.

Was he correct, or are all the screws the same. If the same, I have plenty.

Here's a photo of the finishing screws I am using. Use these for the inside plate?

Roger, your screw is more like a pan head. Mine has a very small phillips head, oval in shape. Sorry I don't have my camera available.

These screws are the ones Moss supplies.

These were also the screws that were provided with the finishing plates that came from AHspares about a year ago.

Sorry the photo of the screw (attached again here) is not clear. The screw is 1/2"long, phillips, with a lip that looks like a washer, but part of the screw head.

Keoke, am I not using the correct screws for the bottom? What about the side sill?

Keoke, anyone. Would someone post a photo of what screw is used for each sill. Side, bottom and interior.

Now I'm really confused. What are these screws that I have used for?

OK, so I just took another look and the screws for the other two panels do look like the ones in your picture. So I suspect that somewhere along the line the screws for small panel that goes over the carpet on mine got lost & replaced by ones w/o the lip.

I have been very busy this week at work, no time to read the forum.... Roger, The inside piece of aluminum goes over the edge of the bristolflex once it is installed onto the edge of the outside aluminum piece. Then move it towards the rear until it stops. Now you can drill the mounting holes inside the passenger area to mount the inside piece. The front to back location of the piece will wind up being close to your 1st picture. The edge of the inside aluminum piece provides support/protection for the bristolflex along the bottom. Don't drill your mounting holes for the inside aluminum piece until after you see how the edge will fit along the length of the bottom run of the bristolflex. The bristolflex pushes down onto the outside aluminum piece which is installed 1st, before the inside piece can be located and holes drilled.
 
The screws in your pic are the ones that go along the outside bottom edge of the bottom aluminum sill piece. They are also the ones used along the outside edge of the
side aluminum piece that also has the door catch bolted through. I used larger stainless screws for mounting the inside piece of aluminum that you are trying to locate in your 1st pic. Does this make sense ? I will try to take a picture and post but have not played with my wife's camera very much. You also wanted to see how I mounted the red LEDs under the edge of the dash. Guess I am overdue to play with the camera.
