SPAM was disallowed in our home as we were growing up. Old Fella had what he called a lifetime's worth and hated the stuff. I didn't taste it 'til I was USAF, tried it on a lark. Wouldn't cross the street for it now.
 
I was thinking about my dad also when I read about SPAM... he told me he had in while in the Army and said it was like "somthing bad on a shingle" :whistle:
