First pic is the frame in primer before boxing in the diff pins and other mods, next is suspension bolted back on, and final one is engine/trans installed. I just need to run the new brake lines and then the chassis goes in the corner and i can start on the body!

Hi Art & anyone that can help,

Art, Your TR looks great!

Question; Relative to the Trans. is that an Overdrive Trans?

I ask cause I went to look at a TR3A Project today & the Trans looked like it had an add`l. duplicate looking housing; Back to Back.

Would someone out there please post or email me a pic of a "TR3 Overdrive Trans".

Thanx in Advance,

Russ

Russ - Art's black TR3A under restoration has a 5-speed Toyota gearbox which is somewhat like having an overdrive after 4th gear. When I bought my TR3A new in 1958, I bought it with an overdrive which operates in 2nd, in 3rd and also after 4th gear.

The photo shows an "A" type overdrive, but it's not from my TR3A.

Peter in Maine also has a 5-speed Totota. They bought them from Herman in California. Google HVDA

Hi Don,

"Thanx" for the pic.

The TR3 that I looked at today does look similar.

A "Center Housing" & an "End Housing"; Both of which pretty identical.

I would really love to see one if someone out there has a pic.

Thanx Again,

Russ

Hi Jorgen,

Well Sir; Looks like you got the Boss` approval on your Spit.

My wife "Never" smiled nearly that much whenever I brought home a new toy to play with.

Wishing you both a ton of fun,

Russ
