Little Blue finally got her carpet over the past couple of weekends, as always this is not a simple task but very rewarding in the end.
I first lined the interior with Eastwood Thermo and Sound deadening material, their 9 sheet kit does our cars perfectly with a little left over I think I paid $129.00 on sale with free shipping. Great stuff, my interior will be cooler and water proof.
I used Stock Interiors for the carpet, easy to work with for the most part but the wheel wells take some work. I bouught the loop kit instead fo the pile and am very happy with the end results. If you use the loop be very careful drilling and screwing into it as it unravels very easily. I used 3M 90 spray adhesive, works very well just be sure and let it set up. Instead of replacing the snaps I used 2" industrial velcro so I can adjust as necessary, the only problem is that the floor pieces and rear have foam on them and the supposedly industrial strength velcor does not like to stick to the foam but will adhere to your hands. I will need to later remove the foam where I am not happy and apply with the 3M90, it had no problem sticking to the foam.
