TR2/3/3A Should there be a body ground strap to battery on TR3

On the TR250 and TR6 there is a braided ground strap that runs from a transmission bolt to a body ground position bolt and then up to the negative pole on the battery. Should the TR3A have a similar body ground strap? If yes, where should it be located? If no, how does the body get grounded to the battery? Thanks!

Mine only has a braided ground strap from the frame to a timing cover bolt on the engine.

Yes, something like this is typical...

The Strap around the (front) motor mount was actually fitted at the factory. An important
part as its absence tends to depend on the choke cable case as an alternate. An EXTREMELY
high temperature alternate!

Extreme as in glowing red while cranking. Another path is the speedometer cable - heat is not good for the hairspring. I have even seen a spark jump from the forward air cleaner to the inner wing when that ground was not present. So yeah, kinda important.
