Should one acquire 3 MG Midgets?

Like I don't have anything else to do. A friend that knows that I am redoing a 74 MGB called me yesterday to say that he saw what looked like 3 MGs next to the road, kind of in the ditch. So at lunch time I took a drive to see if I could find them. Sure enough, on this country road near here I found the cars near a house with some writting painted on the side of one of the cars. Said "3 MGs $### OBO" The amount had been painted over. No one was home at the nearest house. I stopped for a look and there are two nearly complete Midgets and what looks like a pan of another, no body. One was rubber bumper and one was not. Looks like they could be had for next to nothing. Looks like they were put there away from the house just to get them out of the yard.

With a major project going on already with the "B" and not enough time as it is. Oh what the heck, I think I'll drive out there this afternoon and see what the story is.

My friend has a rollback.

Any thoughts?
Tom

Do you have space to store them until you get time to work on them?
If so, you already know the answer to your question... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Heck, in my family we always said you needed 3 Midgets to keep one on the road!

If you don't want them. Give me the address and I'll go pick them up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Would be a pretty good trip to Southern Alabama.
I'll be checking on them this afternoon.

Sounds really interesting, I believe they may have found a new home.

That's a good way to start a use parts business.

Parts is a great idea if you can catalog, store and take the time to sell them.

I hope to know more about them this afternoon, but two of them from what I could make out look too good to be used for parts.
Maybe,
Tom
