This is a local car, I really can't bear to see it for sale.
I'm really looking for a TR6, and it's now out of my price range so I thought you gentlefolks may want to ogle / drool / bid / buy.

1968 TR-250

BTW, I thought that being an MG owner, I'd get the same reaction in this forum as if I'd just walked into 'The Slaughtered Lamb', the pub from American Warewolf in London, but it's quite cozy.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Why does no-one ever sell their own car on ebay?
It's always a friend or a relative or a bloke they met in the pub...

Always welcome Baz /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Kinda pricey for the condition...
would take another 9k to get it where it would be nice

But if ya got the $'s and the time, Why not?

Baz, this car has major rust problems. 9K is way too much. This car will need a body-off rebuild. No doubt it is quite collectible but as the previous post states, you will have to sink a ton into it to make it have value. I would steer clear of this car unless you could get it for under 5K. At that price, to bring it up to show quality, you would have to sink another $20,000 into it. I kid you not. Now, if you weren't interested in doing that, why bother? Just buy a decent TR6 for under 10K and have a blast.

Nice of you to join us. All are welcome here.

I don't believe that you can actually see the oil leaks and the rust under the car. Most pictures are usually blurred in those shots.

Stick around a while. We're not bad guys and we all have the same interest in common, you know.

Agreed Bill, I let it pass by at $7.5 knowing I really wanted a 6, I didn't feel too bad about it.
One will come along one day.
Thanks all.
