Should I buy a lottery ticket?

I'm feeling lucky. I removed two of the spring hanger bolts from the Sprite last night. Ya know... the ones that Jack (and many others) had to drill out. I turned the impact gun down and tightened them for a few seconds, then loosened them for a few seconds. Then I put my 2-foot breaker bar on them and started turning them slow. They really felt like they were twisting and about to snap. Actually one of them did twist a little bit. However, after about 30 minutes of slow turning I had them out.

I hope I'm as lucky with the other side.

Patience and PB Blaster. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

The problem is getting the PB Blaster where it needs to go. I didn't fully appreciate Jack's dilemma until I was faced with it last evening.

Once it starts moving, start spraying more at it! If you can get it TO the threads and work 'em back-n-forth a bit, the stuff will "wick" pretty well. Patience is a big part of this, too! Well done!

That is the worse job I think I ever attemped. Drilling hardened bolts up from the bottom. Two of them, think I used eight drills. Took two days.

If they break in the other side I may just cut the spring box out and reconstruct it. I hate drilling out bolts.

I occasionally teach Statistics.

I always tell the kids that <u>"Lotteries are a tax on people who are bad at statistics"</u>. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Congrats on your success...it's a miserable job!

Yes, my undergrad is in Mathematics, so I'm aware... but I'm also known for my good luck/fortune. During one good luck streak, several of my friends asked me to buy lottery tickets for them. They won... nothing.

To get the PB Blaster where you want it I stuck the straw from a can of WD-40 in the nozzle and can get PB perfectly on about anything I want (and often a few places I don't!), but the straw really helps.
