Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a 1973 Triumph TR6 on an online auction site called Clasiq. It's current bid is at $7,500 I was wondering what everyone thought of this price and what the max amount I should pay for it is. It has 1500 miles since a complete overhaul, very nice but I have no real idea about value with these. I would very much appreciate some input.

73 Triumph Clasiq

Thanks everyone!

You might want to post this question in our Triumph forum also (if you haven't already). Lots of TR folks who may not frequent this Pub forum.

I see rust-through on the left chassis rail, below the drivers' seat area. I'd be looking for a better example, there's a lot of work under the shiny paint on that one. Just my opinion.

Front grill, gauges, seats and door cards are not original if that matters to you. Also, center console support is missing.
Rear of car should be satin black.

Doc and Elliott are both right. You should pass on this one and find a better example.

And always best if you can look at it in person (or have a trusted agent look at it). I found out the hard way that buying based on pictures is a bad idea!

Amen to that! Internet makes it all too easy to "want" something that's miles away, too far to go see if it's what you think it is.

Or as we used to say when I was a child back in the 1500s ...

I wyll neuer bye the pyg in the poke.
Thers many a foule pyg in a feyre cloke.
