I recently had a differential problem, and am unable as a full time college student to work on it. I currently go to school in the San Francisco bay area and was wondering if anyone knew of any shops that have the knowledge to work on my differential so I can get the B back on the road again. Thanks.

Greg,

I'm 120 miles north of you. I have a cousin I will talk to about a good mechanic in your area. If you were up here I could do it. What is the actual problem with the rear end?

Something wrong with the pinion gear or a thrust washer. It makes a clunk noise going backwards. I honestly dont know for sure, I havent had the time or even a jack to investigate with.
