They are electrical system and ignition test equipment. You could test the same things with a good multi-meter (except maybe dwell readings) and save $10.00.

ANd I'd be a little wary of buying 50 year old test equipment with "cracked wires", too.

A good modern automotive multi-meter would be a better choice and reliable.

That said, some people like to collect old tools....
 
well and I actually have a tach-dwell meter - of course I don't know how to use it -thanks all for your input
