I've used Motor Head in Fairfax. Also honest and they do good work.

not literally "between" the beltways, but John Tokar of Vintage Restorations does excellent work. He is in Union Bridge, MD. If you have any doubt about his engineering or mechanical ability, ask to see his scaled down steam locomotive which he has built by hand.
