I finally got the rear end out of under the B. It was quite a challenge, as I know it is the first time it has been off. Not only were some of the bolts & nuts rusted, some were covered with the spray on undercoating. Now that I have it out I started stripping the auxillary components off (i.e. shocks, re-bound straps, etc.) I was able to remove the shock from the shock link, but how do you get the shock link off of the bracket? I tried to hold the inside collar of the bolt with a needle nose vice grips (The only thing in my box I could get a hold on it with) but it wasnt enough. The bolt keeps turning and the nut is not coming loose. I've sprayed it down with Penetrating oil to no avail. I poured through my Bently service manual and unless I overlooked something there is nothing in the manual that address this. Anyone have any ideas?
