TR2/3/3A Shifting problems

I just replaced the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder on my 1961 Triumph tr3a. Everything was working fine before the replacements. Now it still shifts fine until it doesn’t and it doesn’t a lot. It locks up in neutral and until you shut it off, move the shifter around until it will go into gear again. Has anyone had a problem like this and how was it resolved?

It sounds like air in the system. The fact it works sometimes implies the adjustments are correct, so air is the likely cause.

+1 with John, sometimes you can use gravity to bleed. Put a tube on the zerk and put the tube into a jar and open the zerk. I have done it that way. It takes a long time for the fluid to drip out just keep an eye on it. I would say you have hours. I would probably close it after an hour.
