Shifting for myself!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif Way to go girl. Now our esteemed emperor, Basil, needs to give us a "LADY" driver.

Scratch that Basil - looks just like me - female with really, really short hair. Oh one query - Are all male LBC drivers really bald?

Just wondering.

I'll bet the answer from our leader is that the driver is 'unisex?'

Horsemits has just undergone a 'shearing'. Now she looks like the "Ramona" cartoon character! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

This is the second time she's done it. Her hair grows down to her tailbone, then she has it cut off and given to "Locks of Love". Seems to be about a five year cycle.

Give that /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/angel.gif a really big /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grouphug.gif

It's one thing to have your hair short because that is what you want and quite another to not have your hair without it being your choice. Horsesmits is pretty special in my book!

I can guarantee there's a special place in Heaven for Jerri after spending a life putting up with me!

Sticks give ya something to do besides just point the thing.

Way to go.

Doc - that's cool!
I wouldn't ever want to teach a Wife/Daughter how to
drive a stick shift.
Try teaching your Wife how to Autocross! Also, part of a marriage test should be to take your (this is for the guys)
girlfriend on a car rally! It's not a pretty site.

heh...

Not very many women out there are fond of going fast around blind turns with a wall on one side and a sheer drop off on the other.

I'm not sure I'm very fond of it if I'm not in the driver's seat either. So, I can't really blame them for that /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Too bad none'a "yins" have knowledge of "Blackburn Road" in Sewickley... Granite retainer about 18" high on the cliff side, Pennsylvania "hill" onna other. Switchback two-lane with a pucker factor inna high 9's from a passenger's perspective. A good three mile "A-Ticket" ride. You "Left-Coasters" have a major advantage with MILES of that stuff! :jealousy:

What's funny is I am the one in our house that taught our son to drive a stick. (I will probably be the one teaching the other one too) My hisband just didn't have the patience. Once you get the hang of it, its the only way to drive.

Problem is, some rather nice cars just didn't come with a stick shift. Either that or they are as rare as hen's teeth.

My son just converted his car to standard from automatic..."cause he likes to shift" Cost probably more than the car's worth and I strongly recommended against it, but sometimes there;s no arguing with an 18 year old. (Plus it kept him in the garage and off the street for 3 weeks this summer )

Good on you for learning to shift! I've still got the task of teaching my wife to shift -- we'll see how well that goes... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
