Bolt hole on the shifter seems to be badly worn, or this normal?

Do you have the two little flanged nylon bushes that go in the hole?

I do, they were just too small for the hole. Someone on FB suggested welding the hole up and redrilling. That worked and my shifters nice and firm now....
