TR2/3/3A Shifter knob jam nut

I need to install a jam nut to allow the shifter knob to point in the correct direction when installed. I thought the threading on the knob and shifter was a 7/16-32, but it appears it is not. Anyone know what is the correct thread size and pitch? Thanks

I believe that 7/16 -32 is correct. Hope that is true, as I've used a 7/16-32 tap/die on several knobs/shift levers.

I wanted to circle back around to this as it is indeed 7/16-32. I was having an issue with the end of the threads on the shifter handle itself where the jam nut starts, however the shifter knob did not touch this area with the way it is worn. Once I cleaned up the threads a bit better, everything fit as it should. Hopefully this helps someone in a future search.
