Was taking Ms Triss for her final run of the year and stopped at Canadian Tire. As I was backing out, the fellow across the way backed into her. Gutted. Got out and looked and not a scratch. Some days its better to be lucky than good.

At any rate, she switched places with Vivian (There's more room there) and is now covered and quiet in the corner of the garage. Sleep well little car - sleep well.

Hugs from Miss Agatha.

These are actually fairly tough little cars! I took Emmie out for a 30 mile or so spin today too!!! We had temps in the mid 50's and lots of sun. Just won't see many more days like this! I'm into snowmobiles too, and I'm really looking forward to snow, but I couldn't help but feel a bit sad, thinking of having to put her away for 5 or 6 months :frown:

Have a good rest Ms.Triss !

I may just be a noob. Got my sprite running this past spring. I will be driving with a hat and gloves when I need to. Winter in the south is not bad.
A cool ride in a sprite is good for your soul!

Couldn't agree more but winter in Georgia vs. winter in Toronto. nuff said. Actually I've had her out on new Years' Day the last two years - in many ways salt is more of an issue than cold.

Salt is definitely the enemy, the road crews around here use way too much too soon. I don't mind a cold ride, I was out in my BE the other morning and the temp was about 35f. The heater worked fine.

Yes, around these parts they start salting the bridges the first cold damp night. South Dakota never used any till 20 years or so ago when I heard the insurance companys forced them to. If you wanted to find a good solid older car all you needed to do was drive towards the middle of the state and start going thru the used car lots. In those days we avoided cars with a Minnesota history because they were likely full of bondo. Minnesota used lots of salt.

Kurt.

Since our governments are trying to spend less these days maybe we could convince them to stop salting and require chains for winter driving.....uh, maybe not.

You could always send her for a holiday in Australia JP. It looks like some while before I get Maude on the road, so Ms Triss could have a nice warm time in the sun

I would love that - even more than she would.

Ship her over and hide in the trunk. Make sure you have plenty of water and food though.

I'll pick you both up at the docks

Warren, when I hit the lottery I plan on spending six months down under and six months up here. I have a bunch of relatives in NZ and have been fortunate enough to visit Aussie while in the Navy. I like the idea of a green Christmas on the beach!!

Kurt.

Mine is out pretty regularly in the winter, but I will not take it to town if the roads aren't dry. That is where they spread the salt around here.

Thanks a lot Steve. It is a blast to drive, but I find myself driving it less and less with the hood or hardtop. I have arthritis, and it is getting harder and harder to get in and out of.. :madder: Eventually, I'll have to sell it and get something a lot bigger. Like this??

G'day Kurt. Why not share the trunk area with JP. The only problem is - if the ship is delayed the stronger one will have to eat the other to survive :nonod:

Trust me, JP takes too much room to share the trunk with JP.

We would have to pick a lot bigger vehicle than a spridget!

Kurt.
