Shelsely Walsh hill climb

A wet day generally but a small window between showers for a better time.
and a look at the top paddock and the return down the hill.
with a bonus rear view camera.

Hi it’s 1000 yards and steep !
The esses are 1:7
Ie goes up 1 foot for every 7 foot along.
My dad used to race here in the 1950’s and I found these plans in his paperwork.
You got to be fitter than me to walk the track !!!!

Looks great! not sure there is really an equivalent here in the colonies.

Takes me back to 1957 when I raced my TR3. Ran 2 hillclimbs. Belknap New Hampshire, took 2nd in Class. Cloudbank Hillclimb - dirt road, giant boulders lining either side. Nice picture of me but my time was slow due to boulders - and that was my only car. Note (leather) Cromwell Seagraves helmet and no rollbar.
