I was lucky enough to be invited to the Shelby Memorial Service at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. I snapped a few pics of the cars up on the roof.

Great photos!

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Brock and his wife Gayle two weeks ago at our Jefferson 500 (at Summit Point, WV).

It was great to chat with him about his work with at GM with Harley Earl, Larry Shinoda and Bill Mitchell.
Also his work with Ken Miles, Bondurant and of course, Shelby and the Daytona Coupe project
(they paid $3500 each for the hand-built aluminum bodies!).

He seemed to really enjoy hanging out with all of us amateur club racers.
He told me "I really need to do more of this....this is 'real' racing."

I asked him if he knew the "other" Peter Brock (the late Australian racer).
Not only did he know him, but the other PB had a Cobra Daytona Coupe!
They met at Goodwood.

Cool, I met Pete at the Shelby Reunion a few weeks back he is a cool down to earth guy.

I've met Pete several times at Shelby American Collection holiday parties. Really nice down to earth guy. Same with Bob Bondurant.
