MGB she just stopped

Hello

I am new to this site,

Fired her up and she had been sitting through out the storm under cover and had to pull choke, ruff start, hesitated, added some marvel oil as always to gas, drover her two blocks and just stopped running, as if someone had turn the ignition off.

sat for 15 minutes, ruff start as before, made it home and she died.

She turns....

checked for spark, no spark, checked coil no spark,

any suggestions

this happen 12 years ago, just stopped, replaced coil and that was it.

What year is the car? Any aftermarket parts? Points or pertronix or other ignition? And welcome.
 
Think its a relay no spark just turns have gas dizzy ok new battery over nite charged a all connections good
had another set of ears listen while I cranked

drove and just stopped like someone turned the lights out
 
There's only two relays, and I don't think they matter in this case... what year is the car? Is the ignition system factory or aftermarket? These are things we need to know to help you.
 
There are a few possibilities that will cause this to happen, but make sure the gas line coming from the tank to the pump is not cracked. Those lines will crack inside the outer metal housing when they get old and will allow enough fuel to prime the carbs but not enough to drive the car any length of time. I had this happen on my 72 and replacing that line cured the problem. PJ
 
Quitting all of a sudden like that is almost always ignition, not fuel/carbs - problems there usually tend to have the car sputtering to a stop like it would if you ran out of gas.

No one can help you until you answer the questions about the year of the car, type of ignition, etc., since configurations vary over the years - and electronic ignitions and conventional points ignitions have different possible failure points.

How did you check for spark and for power at the coil>
