Shaping New Interior Door Pannels ??

Hello all -

Working on replacing the interior (among other things) had have recreated new panels / inserts to use for the interior using masonite so that I can recover using new foam & naugahyde.

All of the panels except the door are reasonably flat and small. The door panels are curved & shaped at the top.

I was wondering how others have tackled that or simplly recovered the old ones. The ones I have a a bit flimsly 7 broken.

Some ideas I was wondering about were ....

A) Water / wet the panels into shape like macremae

B) Steam (??)

C) Heat Gun (maybe with some water ??)

Open to any and all suggestions. BTW - 1964 AH Sprite.

I sent this on Sat of Mem Day and got no response -- all of you were smart and having fun.

Hoping someone on the forum has gone through this and would share their experience???

The door pockets had a metal channel on the top that gave them their curve. It is a "U" channel and I am sure you can find something suitable like aluminum U or something.
I have used those brass paper tack as rivets to hold the channel to the masonite. You know the ones you used to use in school? Staples has em in a box of 100 for about a buck.
They used a thin cardboard to cover the rivet heads but I used some thin foam instead, it gave the pockets just a bit more detail.
