Hopefully the kind moderators will understand that i'm pretty desperate to sell my car and this forum gets more attention than the "for sale" forum. I apologize for any inconvenience to them!

Now for the shameless plug!

1968 Triumph GT6 V8 for sale! It was done 22 years ago in Oklahoma City, OK. It has a 300 horsepower 289 Ford in it connected to a C4 three speed race prepped transmission. The rearend is a GT6 rearend with upgrades performed 22 years ago. Alot of people will doubt the strength of the GT6 rear end but it hasn't failed in 22 years of service. If driven respectfully it will last a long time. This car is very stout and will not break anytime soon... It has a fiberglass front clip (don't know where it came from). Needs paint but body has never seen salt, rust or wrecks. I don't even think there is a door ding in this car come to think of it. It has been owned by Triumph enthusiasts since day one.

Asking price is $6500.00 USD negotiable / possibly trade...

If you don't get reponses here, I'd suggest posting the "GT8" on any of the available web-based car sites such as "Collector Car Trader", etc.

By the way, what mods have been done to your suspension and brakes? Do you have disc brakes in the rear? What kind of gearbox? Can you post photos?

I'm always intrigued by modified GT6s, would love to see some photos of yours.

The suspension and brake system is pretty much stock. It has heavier duty springs but ride height is stock. This car still stops one a dime and handles great. I have a feeling that the 289 doesn't weigh much more than the heavy lil six that was in there before. With a set of aluminum heads on this thing it should be REALLY close to the same wieght. The fiberglass clip helps cut down on the wieght differance as well!
