How to introduce myself. Maybe, one of a generation of old mechanics. When I go to a show I search out the owners that work on their cars and tend to avoid the drivers only. I have owned muscle cars from the mid 60's to mid 70's, I have owned British, ie MG,spits,GTs and Lotus but also enjoy Porsche's,BMW's, VW's and Volvo's. I also see the entertainment of a good running Asian vehicle. I do my own work, so I know it is done right. I enjoy working on Motorcycles as much as working on outboard motors and inboard/outboard drives . I believe in stock but enjoy trying upgrades, I replaced the engine/transmission in a 69 Westy VW camper with a Corvair drive system what fun driving that on the innerstate. I enjoy kit cars and have tried one or two builds. I am more than willing to lend a helping hand or thought to someone in need. I enjoy the conversations I have with other mechanics and look forward to the ones I will have here. Thanks for allowing me to become part of your group.

welcome! sounds like quite a varied number of cars - and I also appreciate the people who wrench their own cars. Do you currently have a car or a project?

Thanks for the call out. Presently have a 75 midget on the rotisserie and another sitting along side that, I have not figured out what I want to do with it. I just finished rebuilding a 2.5 subaru turbo for my Baja I have a friend with a problem on his B that comes into the shop next. Found a decent 75 spit that I am looking at for installing a GM 3.1 V-6 with a 5 speed , if I do go that way I have a line on a GT-6 rear set-up.

Welcome! I'm still trying to get around to installing an 8 Track player
in a Cortina that I sold years ago.

Figured a few pic's would be of interest. I had 7 midgets and 3 spits when I retired rebuilt 3 midgets and 1 spit. due to title issues parted 2 of the MGs and two spits. Needless to say have a bunch of spares mostly after BL took over MG. I would have the Midget on the rotisserie done but left the country for almost two years and just got back. Wife says the Baja has a oil leak so will pull the engine before I start the midget project. Have a spit O/D I want to install and rebuild the engine. Found another hardtop. Just for starters. Building this one to keep and after 3 know what I want.

Larry why does your garage/shop remind me of that "Dr. Who" statement that it is bigger on the inside than on the outside. What I would give for all that room. Did the blue GT-6 become the mustard one? I had a 6 and the first series of 924. The 6 would eat it alive. The plymouth is about a 64/64? I had a friend with a Dodge Dart Gt with the 273 the thing was very quick. We would have a good time comparing notes. This is why I joined this club, thank you for the come back.

The yellow GT6 was my wife's daily driver for 14 yrs. The blue one is supposed to be Damson, sat in a garage for 42 yrs, 2 owner, 53K miles but engine locked. Bought 64 Valiant from original owner, sat in funeral home garage for 20 yrs. Lower end rebuilt, working on floorboards, making it a driver. Wife wanted 64 Barracuda but Valiant was $500. Garage is freestanding 30X40 now 30 yrs old and too small. Yellow Rover is one of 250 built and 1 of 150 left. 175K miles, ran when I got it home, now tracing two wires for the non start problem. Wife drove the same style 96 Discovery for 13 yrs as daily driver.

Welcome to BCF, Bernie! Quite varied experiences you have! You'll fit right in!
