Holy cow! home-made shackles. Engineering at it's finest, too. feh. Have you got a good set as replacements?
 
Ah! I see DPO Pedro has his mail order parts store
up and running. Looks pretty good to me! But better
make sure everything is metric threads, just to be on
the safe side. Spray paint it black! Who will know any
different?

Yes the one in the pic is the replacement. It came in that tool box I was talking about. Those DPO shackles weighed a whopping 3 pounds each! Stock shackles are only 13.3 oz. I just made it go faster - weeeee! I already go the new one in. The bushings are a bit warn but bettr'n being high. I'm deciding on how much to spend on the suspension & which type of material to use.
