OK, I know Doc knows where this is.
And probably jlaird.
And I'd guess a few others here too.

I know about the place because it's near the BeaveRun race track.

Anywho, what I didn't realize (until today) is that "Elgin Park" (the little, 1950s, imaginary internet town), by Michael Paul Smith, is based on Sewickley.

~Here~ is a nice article about this.

To see the actual photos (and a link to a new site) ~go here~.

I'm from that neck of the woods too. This is my family:

James Harden Hays - great, great granddad
Henry Blake Hays - great granddad
Louis Blake Hays - granddad
Howard Adair Hays - dad
Peter Hays - me.

And somewhere in there is an obscure connection to Doc...lost to the sands of time I'm afraid! (or that might be a GOOD thing!) LOL

so would you be the needle in the hays-stack?

Some of the photos are downright spooky. The '56 linclon one sits in front of "Hegner's". They were an actual office supply business in Sewickley, I was pals with one of the Hegner lads.

No "Sewickley Hotel" photos?!?

and if you look closely, you'll see Doc's feet stickin' out from underneath the Lincoln.

I've seen those photos before, so well done! Although I didn't know it was just part of a bigger project...
