Setting up an electronic swap meet

I didn't, and I just re-checked my messages. Sorry, you'll need to PM again. Not sure what happened, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

Maybe I accidently sent it to NCBugeye. I always get your avatars mixed up.

No problem. You have to read our avatars closely to get the license plates down right...

I will Pm you to set me up too drew. I have a few things that I would be willing to give and some that I really need to sell because I have money tied up in them. I am recovering from major knee surgery and cannot dig through all my stuff right now. Even if I know I have it I won't be able to pack it up and ship if for a while. Some of the stuff I hate to part with until I get my midget started up and mechanically checked out which might take a while. I have the car ready to fire up and drive but my wife has it blocked in with new furniture she is staining and she ain't gonna move it until its done and she is ready. I am in no position to argue right now.

Kim, you're set up.

Morris,

I do not think I got a PM from you.

Chris

Drew, the first swap has been made, a front Bugeye bonnet latch for two stainless turn signel rims. Hehe. Not sure who got the best deal but I'm pleased. and I am sure Trevor will use the rims.

Oh well... I guess I just don't know what I am doing.

This is sooooo cool Drew. Thanks for setting this up. I have boxes of 1500 parts that I will definitely put up there soon, but I have to get a little a further along with a few projects before I let anything go. My wife will be very very happy when that day comes.

Hopefully, I will have a good useable a-arm I can put up there soon.

Well, I had two handles. I'm keeping one of them in case I convert back to conventional hinges (but this is doubtful). I'm not sure if the one I'm sending Jack is the better of the two... it was just the first one I found. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

As I progress on my bugeye I'll have other things that I won't be needing. I'm modernizing it(discreetly) and doing away with all the superfluous bits.

Aye, check daily. New stuff all the time.

Glad it's helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions on the usage or ideas for improvements. I'm constantly developing all this software, so ideas are very welcome.

Just added a new feature. When you're looking at the table of search results, you can click on any of the column headers to sort the table by that column.

Well, that's a trickie trick. Does is sort by listers as well. One stop shopping.

I have a bunch more stuff to list, but I need to be motivated by seeing other people's list. Hint, Hint ...nudge nudge

Bill, you've been set up. Check your PMs for your password

Got rid of a set of cockpet surounds today to the same person who gave me an orginal grill. See what comes around goes around. Ain't it great.

Drew
How easy is it to make the system give a listing of everything wanted/for sale with the "All" button? and also a way to get a full list of everything from everyone "for sale" (and also for "wanted")?
(Was that understandable?)
Bill

Not entirely sure I understand your question, but here's how the searching works:

If the search field is blank, the system returns all entries.

If you just want to see either "for sale" or "wanted" you can use the filter called "Listing" to filter for just those entries. Pick the type you want from the list, and hit the search button.

You can also filter by "Model" (Bugeye, Sprite, etc) and by "Owner" which is the person who made the entry.

Once you have a list of search results, you can resort the list by clicking on column headers you want to sort by. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Does this explain how it works well enough?

It does what you want Bill, just got to figure out how it works, tis easy.
