SERVER MOVE!

Thanks Dave. I'm very happy with the way the move went. Better than I expected actually. The hardest part was that I had to make about 1000 changes to the script files. There are places in there that ask for the full "path" to certian system files and the paths on this new server are somewhat different than on the old server. Also, I had to chnage the names of all the databases used just due to the way my control panel for the new server works (it adds an account name on the front of a database name when I create a new database). So, for example, if I had a database called "threads" on the old server, now I have a database called user1_threads. This meant I also had to go into my script files for the forum and change the database names to user1_threads (otherwise nothing would work).

I will be putting the BCF Store back online in the near future. For those who wish to donate but don't want to use Paypal, I'll PM them my address (I'd rather not post my address in the open forums).

I was without BCF 'till late yesterday afternoon... but this AM when I usually get molassas-like response from the 'old' V-server, the difference near-knocked me offa th' stool. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jesus, it's easily 10x faster from here, used to take about 10 seconds to load the intro page.
