My mum-in-law is a true German baker. Cookies. Cakes. Stuff with powder'd sugar all over 'em, some filled with fruit stuff, others with a nutty paste, some made with ginger, chocolate chip cookies (with some kind of imported chips), li'l butter cookies in all sorts of shapes... AAaargh!

She has sent us home with POUNDS of th' stuff!! I'm gonna turn into Jabba th' Hutt!!!

My dilemma is: How do I hide all these "evidence" crumbs from Horsemits?!?! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif *burp*

Care packages and donations WELCOME here!!!

Stollen?
Mohngugelhupf?
Konigskuchen?
Marzipan?
Kletzenbrot?
I'm on the way!!
One of the German gals at work sent me home with a goody bag when we left for the holiday break.
I've been existing on fine German baked goods.
Not a bad way to go, Doc.

I pu on 10 lbs this past week. Everyday I tell myself no but at around 4:00pm, my defenses are down and I just can't help myself...oooh look cookies!

forget the desserts just give me schnitzle, spatzle and red cabbage and throw in some sausages and potato salad too

Alan, you're heartless. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Had to eat the ~real~ food while I was there. None of that was left after the fete. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

A few years back I was attacked by a viral infection that kept me from making the "pilgrimage". I got a CarePackage but missed all the REALLY good food that year. I had concern that I'd infect the then cancer weakened pop-in-law... It's better your way, Cliff! FEED it! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hey doc...I been checking the mailbox everyday and not a single Stollen or even a trace of Mohngugelhupf?

Feelin' very neglected out here...or maybe you've just reached that point of inability to be able to roll out of the chair!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
