After several years of going to club outings without incident after my rebuild, the wife worked up enough courage to ride in the Healey on a club outing this spring. Her story is on p 24 of the September issue.

LOL! I read that (a week or more ago) and thought it was pretty funny. Your wife and mine would get along just fine!

Tell her that she did a great job; perhaps other wive's would like to share their opinion...?

Hey John,
Yep, your wife and mine would get along great. I cannot remember the last time she went for a ride in one of my Healey's - wait a minute, I just did, when I picked her up for our first date about 35 years ago ! She might have been in one since then but not anytime recently. Tell Cathy I am sure she will have many fans when for some reason one of our wives picks up the "is that another car magazine" by accident and comes across it.
Too funny,
Mike

John, John, John - you are such a lucky man that your wife has a sense of humour! You know I love Agatha but having said that I think husband, Doug, feels the same as your wife does. Some folk, be they male or female, just like the new fangled gadgets such as vehicle a/c and the like. Some of us however just like the thrill of basic transportation. No accounting for taste albeit I am the one in the family that has all the taste.

So my good friend just go out and buy your wife that $289.00 purse or better yet give her a prepaid credit card for some incredibly large amount for her to do with as she will. Afterall, that's what husbands are supposed to do.

Hmmm, where's my husband and how can I get him to read this post???

My wife has not ridden in my Healey for years. She doesn't like the smell. Suddenly she asked me to take her out on Woodward Ave. the afternoon before the Dream Cruise. It was a nice time and showed me that she still loves me after 41 years.

Funny, My wife would tool around in her jeep sahara with the door off, top down and windshield folded down...But was always afraid to ride in any of my English sports cars! She would tell me they where death traps! Go figure... Michael.
