Miss Agatha is going to her first car show. Will be only about 20 miles from home.

My local club the Model T and A club are joint hosts with two other clubs. Hay Miss Agatha fits right in, she has a four cylinder engine as well.

The guys are great, all older folks who appreciate nice cars and use theirs for tours, etc. The A's are real daily drivers they go all over the southeast US.

No clue on judgeing or what ever but will be fun to be involved and she says she is ready for an outing even if the wife says she is not perfect yet. Yea I know bonnet and doors. Darn door seals do not seem to allow me to adjust the doors quite right. I may need to try another brand of seal. They fit fine without the seals.
 
Those Model A's and T's are great fun to be around. I got behind a Model A sedan last Sunday coming home from church. It's fun just watching them toodle down the road. You'll be in great company there Jack. I hope you see that some of the younger generation has an interest in owning and rebuilding those cars.

Got a similar problem with door seals on my car. Takes a lot of effort to shut the door because the seals are so tight. Driver's door worse than the other. What seal brand are you using?
 
I used what Moss touted as orginal type 429-810 and am very unhappy with it.

The spring metal inside is alum I think and is not a real spring and the black rubber seal is too large, looks good with the door open though.

I guess I need to find something else. I know the orginal had steel spring stuff inside that really attached properly, was not oversize, and did not screw up the door fitment.

Think I will try Bristleflex next. I was going to use them but they would not answer their phone. sigh.
 
Same seal problem with mine. Passenger door is not too bad, but drivers door is tight. I think I have the same style seal as Jack. Doors close fine without seal, and seem to have clearance for the seal. Unfortunately I thought it would conform over time, but it has not and my drivers door has developed the famous MG cracks along the rear of the window glass and the spot behind the wing window. (wind up window style door) 3 part pearl paint, so it's going to be a real bear to fix and re-paint. Hope you get yours fixed before any real consequences appear. Jack, good luck at the show.

That will make Miss A the young'n at the meet - tell her to be careful around those older Fords, they may not have honourable intentions! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/nonono.gif (at least I presume that's the T 'n A we're talking about)
