Will someone take a pic of the water temp sending wire as it snacks its way by the alt.?Does it go over top along the back, is there a wire hold down on the engine??
Thanks

Does it have a plastic protective sleeve ala the headlight wires inside the fender??

This is from my 71 Tr6 with the original wiring harness.
The sending wire does have a sleeve over the green wire,
as seen in the pic. No wire hold down.

Hmmmm. Look closely at the temp sending unit wire about 2" down from the sensor. What do you see? Abraded wire covering. And exposed green wire inside. It would behoove you to double coat this particular wire with 2 layers of shrink tubing. This wire gets a fair amount of abrasion near the alternator clamp.

Thanks Joe,mine is a 71 as well and the pic is great.I think I might use shrink and a poly sleeve as protection.
Thanks again
As Bill notes, take care of that bare area.
