TR2/3/3A Selling my 60 TR3 - wanted opinions

Would like to sell my 1960 TR3A with overdrive.
Here's where the opinions are needed. It is a nicely restored driver. I did all of the work except the interior. Car looks nice and is a dream to drive. I want to move on to another project.Rust proofed, rebuilt engine, rack and pinion steering worth in todays market?
Anyone know someone who is looking for one have them PM me.

Without any photos, by your description I would guess your car to be valued between $15,000 and $20,000.

I listed my car 56 TR3, but decided against selling, in Craigs list. Older frame off resto with upgrades and all riginal parts.
Asked 20K and wouldn't budge...had 4 to 5 buyers immediately (had pics on photobucket).
After I listed all of the work I'd done I decided to keep it as it's too nice.
If I reconsider I'll ask 25k min.

It seems to me the prices of TR3s have gone up significantly recently. I don't know what a fair price is. I've always thought they were overpriced for something that rides worse than a Radio Flyer wagon. But I still want another one.

I had it on Craigslist and had a few inquiries but most were people Phishing. Hate that they would waste my time Phishing. Anyway, most of the people wanted a lot for a little price (imagine that...)
I'm afraid to sell because in the past I sold a few British cars and most of the people expect an American car. Drive till it dies... no maintenance. Then when it needs something complain to me.

We will see. This car needs a little bit of work but nothing terrible. A few screws tightened, a few chips painted, maybe some new carpet.

Larry, I might suggest that an auction sales format like eBay is near-perfect for your car. You can set the reserve relatively high, or at least as high as your lowest sales price. Nothing to lose but a few bucks for placing the ad. If no one bids above your reserve price, you keep the car. And, even if the car does not sell it's received excellent exposure to the buying marketplace and you may find a buyer who's interested or maybe wants to purchase it later.

TR-3 pricing seems to be going nowhere but up for years now: barring an outright economic depression, its value should remain relatively high.

At any rate, advertise the car for sale right here on the BCF. Good exposure to a highly targeted market.

I had a TR3 but sold it in 1986 when I moved to Spartanburg. Money was going to be tight because we were going to live on one salary. When I got home from selling the car, my wife said she would go back to work if she could get new bedroom suite. I still haven't gotten over that.

Now I have a 64 Spitfire, that should be back on the road shortly. I tore down the rear axles to find what was making a peculiar noise. I need to get new seals and put it all back together. I also have an 80 Spitfire taht someone here gave me. Its close to being driveable. I need to complete the dual carb conversion and start it.
