Sell parts on Ebay?

Country flag

I have various spridget bits that I need to sell (otherwise I'll move them from shelf to shelf for years before throwing them away). It seems that some bits bring an overly high price on eBay, but is it worth the trouble? I mean do you end up dealing with alot of deadbeat bidders? Or people that want to return stuff because their idea of "fair" condition is very different from your own? I'd almost rather list the stuff on various brit car classifieds and take less money for less hassle. Any thoughts?

I've never sold parts but I have sold other stuff (including a broken camera) got $10.75 - go figure. I've never had a problem with deadbeat bidders. Just be clear in your descriptions and get a Paypal account. have fun!

I have lots of experience on ebay. It's a good place and I have had only 1 deadbeat in 3yrs. I always say the parts are sold "as is" with no returns accepted. Make sure you have a good picture or 2 and be accurate with the part description. Wheels, carbs are usually great sellers and hard to find parts usually bring in a premium price. Good Luck!

Yes, carbs and wheels... that's two of the things on my list.

I don't mess with ebay though I could make lots more money if I did...I prefer to work 1-on-1 with hobby guys, not some of the bidding sharks on ebay.

You guys are a much more classy clientele!

I've watched a several sets of pretty rugged su's go for $80 and more. (I've had fellow club members try to give me better sets). I think I would feel guilty selling them for so much. I may list them here first at a reasonable price (they were working quite well before they were removed to make room for a new intake/carb) and then offer them on ebay if I don't get any "takers" here.

And why are those not bugeye carbs, dang.

Nice looking heat sheld.

Why... Thank you Tony! I've never been called classy before!
