I am searching for a new clutch for my 72 TR6. My research has indicated that the Borg & Beck clutch which is my current clutch requires more pressure to operate than the Laycock. This added pressure requirement often leads to a sticky clutch and throw-out bearing failure. The original (RHP)bearing does not have a good reputation for reliability and many people advised to stay away from it. From what I have read, many Triumph owners are happy with the "Magic Clutch" sold by TRF. This clutch can be ordered with either the Koyo bearing or the new german Gunst bearing. I have read good and bad reports. Since I am a now a little confused about the whole subject, does anyone have any first hand experience in dealing with a successful clutch combination? Which throw out bearing is the best one? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys.
