Yeah, I've been drooling over that one since it was posted.

Possibly, it's the rare SpitSix conversion that's been done correctly, or at least close. The best Triumph that Triumph never made.

IF it's in the alleged condition he says, it could easily go for 10K or more.

I only wish it were a bit closer . . . :cryin:

I've been watching that one too... already well past the amount I paid for my Spit6... but it's definitely in nicer condition.

If it sells for that kind of money, I'll feel better about spending money on upgrades and improvements for my car. :cooler:

That looks like a great wee car. :yesnod:

A nice car indeed. And how about the matching yellow TR3(?) on the trailer in he background of that one picture?

The reserve is $6,200, I'm told. Still at the reserve and not budging, but I'll bet it will very soon.

SpitSix is somewhat of a "novelty" car, betwixt and between the Spit and GT6. Not appealing to all, thus the lack of bidding activity? I'm a bit surprised at the low number of bids.

Maybe some lucky dude will get this one for a song.

The end price will be interesting . . .

Thats a nice one. Just get in and drive.
4 bids but only 2 bidders.

Hey I know this one, its from one of our club members who joined recently. Tire kicked it a little at the last club meeting, didn't realize he was selling. He did a nifty gas assisted strut conversion for the front hood. Fairly certain that is his TR3A in the background, maybe thats the reason for the sale. Looked pretty good to me, NFI, etc.

I'm surprised at the low selling price ($6200).

Would the term -"well bought"- apply?

If that car woulda been anywhere within a day's drive from me, I'd have snatched it up. Heck, even if you don't like the car you could resell at a nice profit at $6,200.

IF that is the actual sales price, it's one of the best deals I've seen recently on any LBC. It could easily cost over $10K to build a nice SpitSix with the mods he's done.

Why are these deals always so far away from me? Maybe I should move farther west??? :nopity: :cryin:

Yeah, actually I think that was a good buy based on what I saw - now I have to figure out why he sold it, hope he's not getting out of Triumphs, he's a good guy and knowledgeable hand with them.
