Seen on Craigslist... "Planetary Overdrive"?

While searching the west coast for MG's & MG related stuff I saw this:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:] Planetary overdrive attatches to back of tranny will work with most small roadsters i believe.

I dont really know what this is worth but i'm asking 100 OBO[/QUOTE]

So what is it, and can I use it on my '70 MGB-GT?

Re: Seen on Craigslist... "Planetary Overdrive"?

Sounds like a Laycock overdrive unit, but who knows what type or condition. If it's an LH-Type unit from an MGB then it will mate to your transmission but you will also need a different mainshaft, the intermediate housing (hopefully it comes with it because they are impossible to find alone) and a few other small bits. If it's complete with intermediate housing and in working or rebuildable condition, then that's a deal.
