I drove Midgie to work this morning, and it was a really good ride. About 5 miles from work a 77 MGB the same color as Midgie pulled out and got in line with me. Always nice to see another one on the road.
 
It's fun isn't it?

Yesterday, a guy at a red light next to us called out to us from his white '08 Accord (just like our's). We were in our '69 MGB.

Linda thought he wanted directions but he just wanted to tell us that he had a '72 B.

A Miata (top down) waved at us later on.
And last week a rubber bumper Midget tooted his horn at us.

We took the B to a church picnic and also a wedding in the last two weeks...lots of comments at both.

It is fun, especially the variety of people and their rides that wave or otherwise acknowledge these cars.

Three years ago Shirley and I were driving our TR6 in north central Wisconsin. We were paralleling a freight train and as we overtook the locomotive the engineer tooted and waived at us. Thought that was pretty cool since we are also train buffs and our other hobby is garden railroading.
 
I love the camaraderie one feels when passing others in classic british sports cars. It's part of the appeal for me. - which is also one of the reasons why I loved riding my old Triumph around in the early days.

Sunday broke a week long heat wave of 100+ degree days. My son in his TR 6 and I in my BE ate at a restraunt on a high traffic street in KC. When we came out, a yellow MGA was parked beside our cars. Eric's car wouldn't start, and by the time we had figured that the solenoid wire was off, the A owner and his wife had come out. They had seen our cars, and that had made their mind up where to eat. Met a new friend.
