TR2/3/3A Securing Door handle shaft

Just got a new set of door handles from Moss.
Surprisingly, they did not come with the spring clip fastners, or even the nuts & washers to hold the studs in place.

can't find that spring clip in the catalogs. (I tore the old ones up getting them off)
But I did find an old thread (2011). Where John, CJD, posted a cotter pin pic.

Wondering if that ever gave you any trouble?

or any other solution, or source for those clips.

thanks and best regards,

FWIW, I found a split lock washer that was just the right diameter to fit tightly over the square shaft. Worked great for a lot of years.

On an amusing note, TRF has them listed as being on sale, but "Not Yet Available" ;)

Thx Randall, that worked well.

Hey Guy,

I took that picture in 2011...and I sold the car this year with the cotter keys still solid as ever. I wish I could say it was my idea, but ISTR the handles had the cotter keys when I bought the car.
