I just watched this movie again last night. What an amazing athlete! Doubt there will ever be another like him.
In the movie, Diane Lane plays Penny Chenery but in the final race of the movie (Belmont), the real Penny Chenery can be seen in the crowd just behind the actors.
The amazing thing was, she got this horse when she lost a coin toss.
