Thanks for loading that....limited computer skill here!
I've read of the giant killing exploits of these cars many times. Too bad the bean counters did'nt allow them to continue.

Far out! But what is that car in the background in the second photo? It appears to be at a rather unnatural angle....and perhaps about to experience a Large Occurance.

Oh Lord, when I grow up can I have one.

I promise I will park the truck in the street.

"Large Occurrence" - LOL.

That picture caught my eye as well (obviously since I posted it).

I love it, but what would you do with it? Too valuable to race or street I'd think. Mothball it? Someone call Leno. (the backend is a bit ugly)

Oh I love the rear end. So cool. And yep I would drive it a bit just like Miss Agatha.

It's very simple to me and this applies to all cars:

If it's worth restoring, then it is worth driving.
If it's worth driving, then, should something happen to it, it is worth restoring.
If it's not worth restoring, why be concerned about driving it?
If it's not worth driving, why would you even think about restoring it?
:driving:
If you just want something pretty to look at, go buy the model kit. Then you can make it look as nice as you want for 20 bucks! Heck of a savings!

(Bet you'd never guess my degree is in philosophy! )

Not one of the "prettiest" Sebring Sprites (I'm just partial to the earlier ones!), but still a real beauty!!

$48,0000, ha! A measly $100,000 doesn't work for this one. I wonder what the most a Sprite/Midget has ever sold for? Is this one setting a record? I realize it is a race car but wow.

Bid is now over 145,000 and growing. Price just jumped $20,000 in about 30 minutes. I bet the final price exceeds $200,000.

Kinda wish I had that sort of money for a car.

I race against the one below fairly often. It used to belong to Graham Hill. All original except the 1275.

This is really called a "Speedwell Sprite", but there are a lot of related cars (and names) such as the Sebring Sprite, LeMans Sprite and Sprintzel Sprite.

More stuff on it ~HERE~

$185,100 right now with 20 hours to go. Over 50 bids. $200,00 not out of sight.
