Seattle area wire wheel balancing

Hi all! Somewhat like my friend's (Ed Perez) car used to do, my '71 Midget vibrates more the faster I go (starting around 50 and gets bad at 70+). I had it up in the air today and compared it wheels-on to wheels-off. It's definitely worse with the wheels on.
First: anybody care to recommend a local-to-Seattle place to get wire wheels balanced?
Second: I was surprised with how much noise and vibration still remained with wheels-off at an indicated 70+. I'm sure there's the usual slop in the drivetrain, but I was kind of expecting it to be fairly quiet and smooth. Any thoughts or comments? I'll bet some amount is normal, and is just masked by road noise at speed.

Spec: Balanced 1275, Rivergate 210 5-speed, standard rear axle; 72-spoke wires.

Thanks in advance!

Phil

If you can't find a shop that specifically does British wire wheels ask the tire shop if they still have a bubble balancer and know how to use it. Thats what I have had to do. Spin balancing without locating the wheels correctly just does not work.

Thanks Bill! I'll check them out on Monday.

It probably seems way to early; but I want to get my car ready for LotO this summer . . .

Talk to you soon!

Phil

Nomad - thank you also. THat is a good suggestion; and will be my fall-back.
