The Cobra cub is a nice looking seat. Very close to what is in the photo. You can probably get them without the headrest, or ask if they make a smaller one. I only have a headrest because its mandatory in competition with a roll bar, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
Those are very popular with the MGB crowd, and it may even be possible to get recover kits with the MG Octogon, as I've seen more than one (>1) B so fitted.
But alas, I'm steadfastly in the highback seats don't look right in a Healey faction.
I was thinking along the lines of these, but I didn't want to have a black interior (in hindsight, Moss's Honey Tan is proven a bear to keep looking clean...).
I really like the look and stability of these GT Clqassic's Monza seats, but have to wonder how many more years would I be able to get (in and) out of them...
i am in a similar dilemna. my stock seat is just too high for me . i like to sit down in the seat as opposed to sitting on the seat! i bought an aluminum kirkey??? low back seat for my healey replica from summit racing. it is a strong and rigid seat...all aluminum with a black vinyl cover. also has opening for lap belts and and anti sub belt and is very light in weight. they are available in a number of widths and mount to seat rails very easily. 'course the seat back is fixed and the degree of rake is built in. they also have a bit of wrap of the torso which gives a little side impact protection i would think.i am considering one of those for my healey but would have it reupholstered in the proper healey pattern. as a note i had the miata seats but found them just not to my liking...too small and the seat backs too tall for me but otherwise very good seats!!
