Well I really missedthe car forum. I was in Cambodia on business and could not make the connection. Now that Iback I am observing all the venders that sell seats and the great prices theyhave. Seats used to be a big deal and they never lasted long when new. Just findinga decent repairable set was difficult. Again it is nice to be with likemindedpeople.

Well I really missed the car forum. I was in Cambodia and could not make the connection. Now that I back I am observing all the venders that sell seats and the great prices they have. Seats used to be a big deal and they never lasted long when new. Just finding a decent repairable set was difficult. Again it is nice to be with likeminded people.

I've collected a few TR2/3 seats over the years, with that a couple of leather ones. The leather ones seem to last a long time. I've one that is almost usable and another that has some broken stitching but decent leather (the backs and skirts are vinyl). The vinyl ones are all torn and crispy. I don't know if that would suggest leather replacements or not. I also suspect that modern vinyl is more durable than the stuff used originally.

The Moss leather kit I put on the TR3A 26 years ago still looks pretty good. The only failure point has been the white piping which has cracked badly. At least the internal core of the piping is also white so not to offensive to the casual observer.
