Seatbelt restoration vendor?

I am looking for a vendor that can take my 45 year old (unobtainium) seatbelt buckles and install them on new seatbelt webbing. Unfortunately the original webbing is no longer suitable for safety and aesthetic reasons. Anyone help me out here?

Randy: I can think of two sources to look into:

1) I recently used Ssnake Oyl (note the quirky spelling; Tyler, TX). These guys are real pros, they can rebuild your stock hardware in a variety of colors. Responsive, professional, and yes, a bit on the expensive side. Still, they can rebuild anything and do it well, with great color matches.

1) British Car Specialists (Stockton, CA) is a good source for seatbelt hardware (e.g. eye bolts, etc) if you need replacement stuff like that. They also sell new belts in a few colors.

Thanks to all for your recommendations. I have decided to buy the custom webbing from a specialty supplier and have the belts sewn up locally by a friend with an industrial sewing machine.

The original chrome OEM buckles (for my Jag)are from a '63 XKE, very rare ($$) and worth the hassle to restore/install. I called no fewer than 4 trim shops asking them to sew up the belts from new webbing. None would do this, citing liability issues. Anyway, nuff said, thanks again.

A concern on the "sewing" Make sure you get the proper thread, super strong stuff, for sewing. That's the big problem from a couple of shops that I used to deal with(upholstery shops) when I queried about sewing up belts for me a few years back. The webbing is/was fairly easy to find, but the highstrengh thread was na, this was back in 98 though.
